Tim Blackburn

Tim Blackburn is chief executive of Swire Properties, the Hong Kong-based developer and owner of commercial, retail, hotel, and residential property. He joined the Swire group in 1994 and became Swire Properties' CEO in August 2021. His career within the group has included leadership of its Chinese Mainland portfolio and Hong Kong development and valuation work, before taking responsibility for the company's overall strategic direction.

Blackburn has worked for the Swire group in Hong Kong, Australia, Papua New Guinea, Singapore, London, and mainland China. Before becoming chief executive, he led Swire Properties' Chinese Mainland business, including portfolio realization, investment strategy, partnerships, and major projects. Earlier, he was general manager of development and valuations in Hong Kong. Swire's management profile says he began in finance roles in the oil and gas sector and is a chartered accountant and surveyor.
