Jones says she has spent more than 25 years investing in and lending on commercial real estate for pension funds and institutional investors. Her prior positions included Equitable Real Estate, GMAC Commercial Mortgage and CWCapital, where her work covered multifamily and office assets, capital markets and structured finance. She co-founded Basis in 2009. The company originates and acquires senior mortgage loans, preferred equity and joint-venture equity positions across the United States. Basis reports that it has closed more than $9 billion in debt- and equity-related investments; this is a firm-reported aggregate, not a personally originated volume attributed solely to Jones.

Jones’s public-company governance work includes chairing Mack-Cali Realty Corporation, now Veris Residential, before the company’s acquisition and transition to private ownership. Basis lists her as an independent director of Crown Castle and as a participant in the Real Estate Executive Council. She is also vice-chair of the Basis Impact Group Foundation, which works to expand women’s and minority representation in commercial real estate. Jones received a BA in economics from Cornell University and an MBA focused on real estate finance from Georgia State University. Her professional profile combines private-market lending and investment leadership with board oversight and industry pipeline-building.
