Career

Gibson co-founded and led Redwood before joining forces with e-Shang to create ESR. Since 2016, he has served as co-CEO, overseeing the group's operations and business development alongside co-founder Jeffrey Shen. ESR's current leadership roster continues to list both founders as co-CEOs, with Brett Robson serving as independent board chair after his appointment in 2025.

Focus

ESR's business includes logistics and industrial property, data centres, and other real asset strategies across Asia-Pacific and additional global markets. Gibson's career has been closely tied to industrial and logistics real estate, particularly in Japan. His co-CEO remit now extends across the wider group, which combines development, investment, and fund-management activities.

The Redwood-to-ESR merger is a defining corporate milestone in Gibson's career. ESR's biography describes the merger history and his leadership responsibilities; it does not assign every asset or fund decision to him individually.
