Robert Stuckey

Robert G. “Rob” Stuckey is a partner and head of U.S. real estate at The Carlyle Group. He has led Carlyle’s U.S. real-estate platform since joining in 1998, overseeing its opportunity-fund series and core-plus investment business. Carlyle reports that the platform has completed more than 1,500 investments, with 850 realized, during his tenure. These are firm-wide platform totals and should not be treated as Stuckey’s personal transactions. Carlyle leadership biography · Carlyle U.S. real-estate overview

Before Carlyle, Stuckey was chief investment officer at CarrAmerica Realty and held senior roles at ProLogis focused on acquisitions and development. Earlier, he was chief financial officer for Trammell Crow Company’s Northeast region and worked in its merchant-banking affiliate. This background joined institutional investment underwriting with operating-company and development experience. Carlyle leadership biography

Stuckey also chaired CoreSite from 2010 to 2022. Carlyle funds created the data-center REIT and took it public in 2010; American Tower acquired it in 2022. The example illustrates Carlyle’s approach of building specialized real-estate platforms and later realizing value through a sale, and Stuckey’s involvement in sectors beyond conventional office and apartment investments. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska. Carlyle leadership biography
