Robert Kuok
Robert Kuok founded the Kuok Group, the Asian business group whose property interests include Kerry Properties. He began with a family trading company in Malaysia in 1949 and built a multinational business spanning property, hospitality, logistics, food and agribusiness, shipping, and other sectors. Kerry Properties grew out of the group's Hong Kong expansion and was listed in 1996; Kuok's son Kuok Khoon Hua now chairs and leads the company.

Career
Kuok Brothers began in Johor Bahru as a trader in rice, sugar, and wheat flour. The family business expanded to Singapore in 1953 and opened a Hong Kong office in 1974 under Kerry Holdings. The Kuok Group later entered hospitality with Shangri-La and developed a property business that became Kerry Properties, active in Hong Kong since 1978 and listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange in 1996. Kuok is the group's founder; current company leadership should be attributed to the executives named by each operating company.
Real Estate Connection
The connection to commercial real estate is through the corporate history and ownership network of the Kuok Group. Kerry Properties develops and invests in residential, mixed-use, office, commercial, and hotel assets in Hong Kong and mainland China. Its current chairman and CEO is Kuok Khoon Hua, so Robert Kuok should be described as founder of the parent business group rather than as Kerry Properties' current operating chief.
