Michael Turner

Michael Turner served as president of Oxford Properties Group from 2018 until the company’s leadership transition in 2022. He joined Oxford in 2010 to lead its investment team, later taking responsibility for its Canadian office and retail businesses and the broader Canadian operation before becoming president. Oxford is the real estate investment, development and asset-management arm of the Canadian pension investor OMERS. Turner’s tenure covered a global portfolio and multiple property sectors rather than one local market. Oxford 2021 company overview · Commercial Observer profile

Before becoming president, Turner was responsible for Oxford’s investment activity and its Canadian operating businesses. His oversight included a large office and retail property-management organization, including leasing, asset management and property operations. Oxford’s 2021 materials described it as a global real estate investor, asset manager and builder of businesses, with property investments and development projects across major markets. Oxford announced in 2022 that Daniel Fournier would succeed Turner as president, and in 2025 Eric Plesman returned as president and CEO. Turner should therefore be treated as a former executive, not current Oxford leadership. His profile is useful for understanding the company’s prior leadership period and portfolio direction; present-day strategy and operating roles belong to the successor leadership.
