Mark Hoplamazian

Mark S. Hoplamazian is chairman, president and chief executive officer of Hyatt Hotels Corporation. He became Hyatt’s president and CEO in 2006 and was named chairman in February 2026. Before joining Hyatt, he spent 17 years at The Pritzker Organization, advising Pritzker family businesses, and earlier worked in international mergers and acquisitions at First Boston. Hyatt’s model combines owned and leased properties with management and franchise agreements, allowing the group to expand brands while working with third-party owners. Hoplamazian has overseen portfolio growth through brand launches and acquisitions, while maintaining an asset-light emphasis in many markets. In February 2026, after Thomas Pritzker retired as executive chairman, Hoplamazian assumed the combined chair, president, and CEO role. Hyatt board biography
