The Roundtable coordinates industry positions on issues including taxation, capital and credit, housing, energy, sustainability and property security. DeBoer regularly testifies before Congress and represents the coalition in discussions with policymakers. The organization’s members span public and private real-estate companies and trade associations, so his influence comes through policy convening and advocacy rather than ownership or operation of a property portfolio. DeBoer also chairs the National Real Estate Organization, a coalition focused on industry communication, advocacy and diversity. His work illustrates how regulatory and tax decisions affect CRE capital formation and operations across asset types. The House witness biography identifies his law degree from Washington and Lee University; congressional testimony and Roundtable materials provide the clearest evidence of his current professional remit.
