Moghadam co-founded AMB in San Francisco in 1983. The company went public in 1997 and merged with ProLogis in 2011 to form the modern Prologis platform. He served as CEO through 2025, guiding the company's expansion from an early industrial property business into a global owner, operator, and developer of logistics real estate.

Known For

Moghadam's tenure helped shape the institutional logistics REIT model around large-scale property ownership, customer relationships, and operating capabilities. Prologis describes its portfolio as spanning 20 countries and serving thousands of customers. In its 2025 succession announcement, the company said Moghadam would continue to provide strategic guidance as executive chairman, drawing on his industry experience and institutional knowledge.

The handover followed a multi-year succession process. Letter, who joined Prologis in 2004 and was president from 2023 to 2025, became CEO at the start of 2026. Moghadam remains on the board as executive chairman; references to him as current CEO are outdated.
