Career

Macnab was president and CEO of JDN Realty from 2000 to 2003. He became CEO of National Retail Properties in February 2004 and chairman in February 2008, retiring in April 2017. At the time of succession, NNN described its portfolio as more than 2,450 retail properties across 48 states, leased primarily under long-term net leases. The board's release reported growth in assets from $1.2 billion to more than $6 billion and average annual total shareholder returns above 14% during Macnab's CEO tenure. These are NNN-reported results over the period, not a measure isolating his individual contribution.

Board Work

Macnab has continued in public-company governance after leaving NNN.
